Trainers

Trainers have one of the hardest jobs. The rider’s expectation is that that your broad range of knowledge will provide much needed guidance in all aspects of equine training and care. Educated consumers are increasingly aware of ongoing innovation in equine technology and the myriad of products and services. Riders look to the trainer for help. It has been proven that ill fitting saddles cause long term damage to horse and rider. There is increasing risk for your business (cancelled lessons and reduced income) from rider concerns such as sore backs, lame horses, and bad behavior in the horse.

You are invited to discover Saddlefit 4 Life® principles (taught to trainers at the German National Riding School) to help you provide accurate, up-to-date information to your clients. Upon completion of the training, the Saddlefit 4 Life® Professionals Kit will provide you with the tools and diagnostic system that will benefit your clients, associates, and colleagues!

Farriers (Blacksmiths)

No hoof - no horse. Long toe, high heel syndrome, crooked rider, crooked saddle. They all show up as wear and tear on the hoof and shoe. Shoes are one of the three metal components used when riding the horse. Farriers are the podiatrists for the horse, with the knowledge and experience to evaluate how the horse balances himself. While keeping up with the latest technology, the farrier is entrusted with the responsibility of balancing the horse. Some farriers are riders and also understand bits and the saddle. Now, more and more farriers are educating themselves on saddle fit – to understand the effect (when the horse is moving) of the metal on the horse’s back. Saddlefit 4 Life® helps farriers educate their clients about important principles of saddle fit in relation to balancing the horse.

Vets

Muscle definition and atrophy. Hock and stifle injection. S.I joint. Kissing spine. Spondylosis. Undiagnosed lameness. These are all common concerns in the equine industry. Research technology has advanced tremendously in the last 5 years. Who would have thought that there would be equine MRI’s, fiber optic cameras, thermography, and computerized saddle pads to find solutions to undiagnosed and unresolved lameness issues? Saddlefit 4 Life® can assist by sharing the latest findings and providing and understanding of saddle fit issues to further help your clients. The Saddlefit 4 Life® Vet Kit can help you ‘get to the root of the matter’ by shortening the diagnostic process of elimination. Discover the wisdom exchange and resources available through the Saddlefit 4 Life® Network of Professionals.

Saddle Fitters

Riders look to saddle fitters for ongoing saddle maintenance and also for advice about suspected or known saddle fit issues, and undiagnosed lameness. The horse may exhibit signs of poor saddle fit (stumbling, head tossing, white spots, bucking, bad behavior, stepping short). With so many types and brands of saddles available today, it is difficult to know how many and what interrelating factors affecting fit may be at play (saddle type, size, tree composition, adjustability, horse conformation, age, weight and balance of rider, fit in motion, to name a few)!

Unless you are a saddle maker it is increasingly difficult to help riders determine the issues and find solutions to improve and maintain saddle fit on an ongoing basis. Regardless of your training, you have seen challenging fit situations, and horses suffering from the effects of ill- fitting saddles. Your life’s work is to provide the best fit solution for horses, and this involves saddle fit checking and maintenance on a regular basis. We invite you to explore opportunities with Saddlefit 4 Life®. You will be able to service your clients the most innovative system in the industry that was developed for the well-being of the horse.
